Summer Safety

It’s summertime! The time when our little ones and even big ones love to be outside. We at Nevada Child Seekers see a surge in attempted abductions during this time and want to share some easy to remember abduction prevention tips.

CHILD SAFETY TIPS WHEN OUT IN THE COMMUNITY

1. Never allow your child to wander off. Give them consistent rewards for “staying close.” A simple reward like a “high five” gives them confidence and reassurance that you are paying attention.

2. Do not allow your child to use a public bathroom alone. The truth is many predators lay in wait in these types of settings.

3. As a parent watch your surroundings when you are out with your children. An attentive parent is less likely to be prayed upon by a predator who usually looks for the overwhelmed parent when out in public.
